Homegroup

The Homegroup link will only appear if your computer is a member of a homegroup. Homegroups are a simple way for home users to share files and printers across their home network.

When you bought your Windows 7 or later computer and first turned it on, the setup process may have asked you to create or to connect to a homegroup. Luckily, if you chose to skip that part of the setup process and would now like to link your home’s computers to a homegroup, the process is pretty straightforward.

1) If you are using Windows 8, press the Windows Key and the “C” key simultaneously to open the Charms Bar

If you are using Windows 10, click the Start Button.

Note: See the separate Charms Bar section in this eBook for a more detailed discussion of the Charms Bar.

2) Click “Settings”
